For some, a wedding day is filled with glitz, glam, hundreds of guests, all of the traditions, and formal dinners. And for others, it’s more of a casual celebration that still boasts all the fun and beautiful details of a formal affair but without all of the hype throughout the event.

Casual weddings put more of an emphasis on just having a good time and allow for couples to express their laid-back style. Do you consider yourself a laid back bride-to-be?  We recommend trying these wedding ideas we’re talking about today!

Consider a Relaxed Dinner

If you’re more of a laid back bride you most likely do not want to be sitting at your dinner table for too long. With that being said, we recommend a relaxed dinner for the laid back bride. This can mean anything from a dinner buffet, dinner stations, or ever food trucks! Regardless, these different options are a fun way to have dinner and a great way to not be sitting in your seat for too long.

Skip the Traditions

Another wedding idea we recommend for the laid back bride is to skip the traditions. Oftentimes, if you just aren’t one to want the spotlight for you or just aren’t looking to incorporate much of a timeline into your big day, you may want to skip a few of the traditions including - first dance, father and daughter dance, mother and son dance, cake cutting and speeches. There’s nothing wrong with skipping traditions on your wedding day, it gives you an opportunity to make your own!

Consider a Cocktail Style Wedding Reception

This may be one of our favorite wedding ideas for the laid back bride: a cocktail style wedding reception! What do we mean by this? We mean that your wedding reception will be more of a mix-and-mingle party where guests can help themselves to food stations instead of sitting down for a traditional dinner they can lean on cocktail tables or comfy lounge areas! A cocktail style wedding reception is a really cool way to keep your wedding casual, but also unique as well.

At the end of the day, your wedding is all about you. Just find the right balance, follow your intuition, and don’t be afraid to throw the wedding you want!
